Rebellion & Beauty

There’s no revolution without rebellion. Every time I go to Paris, the wildest and most sensual (what an amazing combination) parts of my soul appear and I’m not even sorry. Because Paris makes me happy. Just the way as it is. With all tradition, with all love. As I mentioned in one of my posts from last year, I don’t like fiction, I like history (http://www.thesaltcaramel.com/lifestyle/2018/9/22/i-dont-like-fiction-i-like-history-gagosian-gallery). And this is one of the main reasons why I can truly feel this city.

Thinking out of the box, especially in the context of fashion and everything what happened during the past month in particular fashion capitals, is something really desirable nowadays. This is clearly a rare feature, the effect of which can be a complete change of perspective not only in the fashion sense, but also in the life of the individual. Creating future through history with a solid dose of realism. From New York City, London, Milan and finally Paris. Fashion has proved that is powerful, unconventional, and rebellious.

Among many amazing shows for Spring/Summer 2020, a few caught my special attention. Prada and its spectacular presentation of the impact of history, Bottega Veneta, where Daniel Lee’s latest collection won the hearts of everyone at first sight and left critics in a state of complete consternation, Chloé for la clairvoyance and Valentino - unquestionable class and perfection of details.

But the most important was the show of the rebel king of British fashion presented in Paris - Alexander McQueen. I was waiting impatiently for this show since NYFW. No disappointment. Sarah Burton perfectly mastered the artistic visions of Alexander McQueen and his grandest fashion house making such a statement and pushing everything in the right course of rebellion & beauty.

Fashion Week is over. Wait, no. This is just the beginning.
