Architectural Contrasts of Berlin
Berlin, like no other place in the world, combines the old and the beautiful with the new in a daring way, without losing its rebel spirit, and even highlighting it on every corner.
In a city where modern solutions, dynamic forms and pro-ecological approach play a significant role, there is certainly no reason to complain. Everything is wonderfully balanced down to the last detail. The best example is the great interplay of many green areas and parks (where you can simply take a rest & spend nice moments) with urban development. And if it comes to development, contemporary architecture definietely plays a pioneering role here. Among others, Norman Foster, Frank Gehry, Richard Rogers, Helmut Jahn, Le Corbusier, Hans Scharoun, Jean Nouvel put a lot of effort and vision into creating buildings that not only delight, but above all inspire. Whether in design, art or architecture, the most important feature that always captivates my attention is creating instead of duplicating. In this respect, Berlin stands out from many other cities, boldly going its own way and preserving phenomenal contrasts.
All this makes me happy to come back here every time. Of course, always fully inspired!
