The Schindler House

The Schindler House located in West Hollywood, California is considered among the world’s first modern houses. This complex was designed and built by Viennese architect Rudolf Michael Schindler in 1921-1922 as a great example of breaking new ground in the design and construction of the modern dwelling. It’s worth to mention that Schindler and his wife Pauline regularly played host to artists, musicians, poets, writers and actors. Their innovative home became a center for avant-garde art.

This unique house has influenced and inspired generations of architects worldwide. Nowadays, it’s one of Los Angeles’s most beloved architectural and cultural landmarks.
