In today’s post I want to show you how fast fashion & style evolve during very short period of time. I use my own example for this quite interesting story.

Years 2011-2013 were extremely important for the fashion industry. From the beginning of 2011 fashion was more accesible than ever before. Big fashion houses finally decided to be more open on TV and through any form of social media which resulted in creation of the most successful cheap chic collections of all time. Prestigious designers continued to go downmarket to increase the visibility of their brands and bring their style to a young generation of shoppers.

During that years my style was a little chaotic. I was finding myself for the first time in the fashion industry by attending Fashion Weeks and my quick internship for fashion magazine. As you can see from the pictures above I took inspirations from different sources, which wasn’t quite good for me. Through many fashion mishaps I have learned that style is about finding what is good for us, not what is actually on top. It’s very important to be selective. This is a golden rule. Of course it’s great to be up to date what’s going on the catwalks but not everything is prepared for us. Personally I love to go back to the years 70,80,90. They’re the the most iconic if it comes to style. And don’t get me wrong but most remarkable trends exactly come from these years. So everyone can be safe by getting inspired of them.

Going back to the main subject of my considerations, years 2011-2013 were the fastest and most shocking if we can speak about fashion, and style development.
