Never give up following your ideas - Marie Curie née Sklodowska

Panthéon Paris, France

During my latest trip to Paris I reflected some time on the accomplishment and legacy of Marie Curie Sklodowska. This unpretentious woman devoted her whole life to discover one of the biggest mystery of the science universe and changed the world in which we live once and for all. Her unquestionable work showed us that one shouldn’t be scared of anything in life, especially if it comes to our passions.

From her autobiography we can get to know that she didn’t have a perfect life. However despite a huge number of barriers and struggles her inner strength won. She proved that we all need to be unstoppable and brave in every situation. Even the most heavy and hopeless.

„Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have preseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we’re gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.” - Marie Sklodowska

Together with an amazing human - Pierre Curie they completely broke every obstacles. His unconditional love gave her the power to fight for her ideas. It was a kind of relationship where they were very passionate and supportive to each other. This mutual respect and equality resulted in their extraordinary science mission against cancer.

„It would be a beautiful thing, a thing I dare not hope, if we could spend our life near each other, hypnotized by our dreams: your patriotic dream, our humanitarian dream, and our scientific dream.” - Pierre Curie to Marie  Sklodowska

Even after his tragic death despite the huge suffering, she never gave up and continued they common work on radioactivity.

Writing about Sklodowska and her genius, I want to emphasize that passion and strength can only be revealed at the highest possible level if we never stop believing in our possibilities. Even if everything seems like the end of the world. Remember there is always someone who is waiting for your success. Just open your eyes. It’s time for awakening.
