Swimsuit Short Story

Stella McCartney

Starting from the beginning, the history of women’s swimwear is closely related with a very simple outfit known as the birthday suit. Nude? Why not especially, when the summer heat wave hits full blast, freeing yourself from all restrictions can be really liberating.

In fact, the first swimsuit was invented in the mid 1800s. From that particular time, history of swimwear traces the changes in the styles of women’s and men’s swimwear over time and between cultures, and touches on the social and legal attitudes to swimming and swimwear. Constanly trying to fit new trends as well as more functional solutions.

As a fashion person, I wouldn’t say no to a minimalist one-piece suit which I can adapt (releasing my creativity) in many ways for many occasions. From the pool, through the party, a distingue evening dinner till midnight swim in the ocean. By adding only a few elements, I can successfully transform this simple piece of clothing into something full of elegance and class. That’s why I chose Stella McCartney’s flawless design in my favourite navy color, decorated with a yellow-burgundy insert and an embroidered logo on adjustable straps. Commitment to sustainable development, timelessness and unpretentiousness attract my personal taste just like the new lipstick.

Because it’s my Birthday today, I can only finish this special post in one way: 'She tucked her le rouge lipstick away and floated back to the party'.
