The Golden Age of Hollywood

Chateau Marmont

Frame from “Roman Holiday”

Frame from “Casablanca”

Frame from “Gone with the Wind”

Chateau Marmont - the legendary West Hollywood spot where you can feel a very special atmosphere of the most precious age in the whole history of cinematography.

Golden Age of Hollywood - classical Hollywood cinema, classical Hollywood narrative and classical continuity between the 1910s and 1960s which became the most powerful and remarkable style of film-making worldwide.

After this quick introduction I can move forward to the main point of my considerations. To be honest I love all the Old Hollywood Glamour inspirations. From movies and fashion to lifestyle and principles which were followed in life by the greatest legends of that age. Especially nowadays we can observe a lack of good values. We often forget what is important in life. Not without reason, I quoted the frames from these three specific movies. First of all they’re my favorites. Every evening spent with one of these three movies can change in a feast for the eyes and what’s the most important you can never get bored watching them. That’s why they became worldwide classics. Literally every single detail from great acting to sound, editing, costumes, decorations tastes like the best cake. And the icing on it is a deep and meaningful message.

The last but not least thing is fact that the true legends from the Golden Age of Hollywood were mostly open-hearted and humble persons. They exactly knew what values to use in life. I finish quoting my favorite Audrey Hepburn: “For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone”.
